Saturday February 16

Lone Pine-Jackson Spring area. Leader Jeff Allen. Meeting place will be at the St George BLM office at 8:00 (345 East Riverside Drive, St George). Sites include the Lone Pine Arch and Jackson Red Sands. Travel will be on single-track roads part of the way, so high clearance is strongly recommend. Dry weather is a must. Sites require hiking up to over a mile  over rough boundary terrain. Bring lunch and water.


Saturday February 16

Falling Man, 21 Goats, & Khota Circus, leader Kim Riding. Moderately strenuous. Meeting place will be at the St George BLM office at 8:00 (345 East Riverside Drive, St George). Dry weather is a must. Sites are in the Gold Butte National Monument, south of Mesquite Nevada and requires a 2-hour drive over rough roads. High clearance and 4WD vehicles are recommended. This hike will be over seven miles round trip and requires scrambling, sand, and exposure, contact hike leader if you have questions regarding your ability to do this hike. Please bring lunch and water. If you use hiking poles they may be helpful.


Sunday February 17 

Mud Wash, Babes Butte, and Kirks Grotto, leader Kim Riding. Moderately strenuous five mile hike with some sand and scrambling. Meet up location will be at the St George BLM office at 8:00 (345 East Riverside Drive, St George). Dry weather is a must. We’ll drive two and one-half hours over rough roads to a location in Gold Butte National Monument south of Mesquite, Nevada. High clearance 4WD vehicles are required. Bring lunch and water. If you use hiking poles they may be helpful.
