High clearance vehicles are required for the 6.5 mile drive to the trailhead so we may want to carpool.

The hike is over moderate to strenuous terrain and may cover 5-8 miles round trip depending on spring water levels in the Grand Gulch. We will visit a cowboy camp, pictograph panels and the 100 hand panel.

Processional Panel 04/23/2020

High clearance or 4WD vehicles are required for the 14.4 drive to the trailhead. We will view the pictograph panel requiring a 2.8 mile roundtrip hike.

If the group agrees we could also visit Monarch cave on our return trip. 1 mile round trip.

Day use permits are required for Cedar Mesa and are available at the trailhead. Dogs are not permitted in the Grand Gulch.

This will be a difficult hiking trip.
