Registration

  • When: Wednesday, September 11 - Friday, September 13

    Wednesday: The trip will visit rock art sites in North Wash including the Big Deer Hunting Panel, the Queen near Hog Springs, and two other sites. We will then drive some thirty miles to a two-night campsite along Cove Canyon that is known as the backdoor entrance to the Maze section of Canyonlands National Park.
    Thursday: Drive ten miles into Glen Canyon NRA to access the Barrier Canyon Style Hitchhiker Panel and one other BCS image in an alcove. Drive back to campsite to view other BCS panels in the vicinity.
    Friday: Voluntary viewing of remaining BCS panels in vicinity and other panels further upstream in morning. Drive out in the afternoon.

    Meet: 9am; Hollow Mountain gas station; Hanksville

    Campsite Notes: High-clearance vehicle recommended; camping on slickrock; fires permitted; all parties responsible for own food and toiletries;
